    Job description

    About selfpublishing.com

    πŸš€ Head Coach
Location: Austin, TX (In Office, Full Time)
    Department: Coaching

    ✨ Mission:
To drive results, renewals, and referrals by building the best coaching team in the business.

As Head Coach at selfpublishing.com, you'll maximize the performance of our coaching team through coaching, training, call reviews, and constant improvement. You'll create, execute, and improve our coaching program across every product we offer, both existing and new, and help more authors publish, succeed, and keep working with us.

This is a player coach role: about 70% hands on coaching with authors and 30% leading and developing our coaches.

At selfpublishing.com, we believe it's not about the book. It's about what the book does for you. If you have a track record of top performance, a passion for helping others reach their potential, and you're looking for a new challenge, you'll fit right in here.

    πŸ’ͺ What You'll Do:

    • Grow renewals: Drive 30% year over year renewal growth by increasing renewal and launch call sets across the coaching team.
    • Drive author results: Help 45%+ of authors publish and achieve their program's promised result.
    • Create Raving Fans: Maintain a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 55+ by giving every author an experience on par with Disney or Chick fil A.
    • Coach authors directly: Lead group coaching calls, workshops, and one on one sessions as a core part of your week.
    • Develop the coaching team: Run call reviews for every coach and every call type, build promotion and development plans, and continue each coach's individual training.
    • Improve the program: Partner with our Author Success, Community, and R&D teams to improve course content, the user experience, and author lifetime value.
    • Spotlight wins: Identify standout author stories and testimonials to share with our team every quarter.

    🧭 Who You Are:

    • A People Maximizer who gets energized by helping others reach their full potential.
    • An experienced coach and leader who isn't afraid to get your hands dirty, be scrappy, and execute quickly.
    • Ready to learn, be challenged, and grow a ton.
    • A team player who believes the best things are accomplished through teamwork.
    • Organized, detail focused, and a systems thinker.
    • A believer in doing what's right, working hard, and bringing your best every day.

🌱 The selfpublishing.com Way (Our Core Values):

    • Honesty & Integrity Always Win
    • Fail Fast, Fail Forward, Fail Often
    • Hard Work & Continuous Improvement
    • Everyone Is Responsible For Facilitating Change

    🧰 What You Bring:

    Required:

    • 2+ years of coaching and/or management experience
    • A proven track record of coaching and facilitation with tangible results
    • Experience facilitating virtual or in person events and workshops
    • Proficient tech skills, including Asana, Slack, HubSpot, Zoom, and Google Drive
    • Perfect written English and excellent spoken English
    • Ready to work 45+ hours a week

    Bonus Points If You Have:

    • Organizational leadership and/or sales experience
    • Experience with Teachable
    • A published book (or the drive to write one with us in your first 6 months)

    πŸ’° Compensation & Benefits:

    • Base pay: $70,000 to $100,000 annually, based on experience
    • Top tier healthcare: Your choice of high quality plans for full time employees
    • Self Care budget: $3,000 per year for massages, house cleaning, or date nights with your spouse
    • Training: $15,000+ worth of training and continued education when you're hired

    πŸ“ˆ Where You'll Grow:
This role has a clear path into Product Creation, Advanced Programs Coaching, and our Executive Team.

    🏒 Location & Hours:
This is a full time, in office role (45+ hours a week) based at our Austin, TX headquarters.

πŸ’¬ Why You'll Love It Here:
selfpublishing.com teaches people how to write, market, and publish their first book in as little as 90 days, giving them more opportunities, confidence, and income. We're on a mission to disrupt a broken publishing industry and show people that self publishing isn't just an option. It's the BEST option.
