    Job description

    About Selkirk Sport, LLC

At Selkirk Sport, we’re passionate about pushing the boundaries of pickleball innovation. Our mission is to Fuel the Pickleball Obsession by creating the sport’s premier products and ecosystem. As a leading global brand in premium pickleball equipment, we’re expanding our international presence and seeking top-tier talent to support our growth in the U.S. and abroad.

We pride ourselves on a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Selkirk applies first-principles thinking to design scalable, process-driven systems that create lasting operational advantage.

    About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Finance Associate to join our Finance team. The successful candidate will manage a broad spectrum of financial functions, with a primary emphasis on high-volume payment gateway reconciliations, inventory management, e-Invoicing compliance, and cash flow forecasting. You will also play a key role in supporting our upcoming ERP/accounting system integration.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Reconciliation & Revenue Accounting: Perform and monitor daily/monthly sales receipts reconciliation between online payment gateways (e.g., Stripe, FPX, payment terminals), e-commerce platforms, and internal accounting systems. Resolve payout discrepancies promptly.
    • Inventory & Cost Accounting: Oversee inventory accounting, stock movement reconciliations, landed cost calculations, and physical stock-count audits to ensure accurate Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) reporting.
    • E-Invoicing Compliance: Lead the implementation and monthly submission of e-Invoices to the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (LHDN), ensuring full statutory adherence.
    • Cash Flow Management: Prepare weekly and monthly rolling cash flow projections, monitor working capital, and optimize operational cash flow.
    • Financial Reporting & Consolidation: Prepare monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany transactions, and financial statements for group consolidation.
    • System Integration: Actively participate in the evaluation, migration, and integration of new accounting software/ERP systems to streamline finance operations.
    • Tax & Audit: Prepare corporate tax computations, ensure tax compliance, and serve as the primary liaison with external auditors and tax agents.
    • Process Improvement & Controls: Propose and execute process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, internal controls, and data integrity.

    Qualifications

    • Education & Credentials: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent professional qualification (ACCA, MIA, CPA, ICAEW, or equivalent).
    • Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience. Experience in retail, e-commerce, or inventory-heavy industries is strongly preferred; audit experience is a plus.
    • Strong hands-on experience in payment gateway reconciliations and inventory/cost accounting.
    • Direct experience or strong working knowledge of Malaysian LHDN e-Invoicing requirements.
    • Solid knowledge of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and local tax regulations.
    • Systems Expertise: Proficient in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, advanced formulas) and experience with accounting ERP systems (e.g., AutoCount, SAP, QuickBooks Online). Prior experience with system implementations or integrations is a major advantage.
    • Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills in English. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced growth environment.
