    Job description

    Position Summary: This position is responsible for greeting and seating residents and guests in a timely manner, ensuring customer satisfaction. This position reports to the Dining Services Manager and/or other staff person assigned by the Director of Dining Services.

    Essential Functions:

    • Seat and greet residents with a friendly and welcoming attitude in a timely manner in accordance with Senior Lifestyle Corporation standards.
    • Assist wait staff and bussers in serving, bussing and resetting tables. •
    • Report any resident concerns to the Dining Services Manger immediately. •
    • Complete all side work as assigned. •
    • Attend all training in-service seminars and pre-shift meetings. •
    • Assist in special events. •
    • Perform all duties in adherence to Senior Lifestyle Corporation standards. •
    • Strive to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices. •
    • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward all residents, visitors and coworkers. • Adhere to all policies and procedures of Senior Lifestyle Corporation. •
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications/Skills/Educational Requirements:

    • Level of Formal Education: Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Area of Study: General/Managerial/Food Service
    • Years of Experience: General/Managerial/Food Service
    • Type of Experience: Previous food service experience.
    • Special Certifications: Obtain/hold any local, state and/or county required food handling/sanitation licenses and/or certificates.
    • Language Skills: Acceptable proficiency in English to perform job duties, communicate with supervisor and other employees, and respond and communicate to emergency situations. Technical Competencies: Entry-level proficiency with Microsoft Office Products, including Excel, and Word
    • Skills and Ability: • Possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. • Ability to handle multiple projects.
