Laundry Aide - PT

Responsible for operating and maintaining the laundry room, including the pickup, sorting, washing, and drying of residents’ clothing and general linens.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Operating and maintaining laundry room

· Pickup and receive laundry for residents each day

· Wash and dry laundry

· Collects, sorts, and launders general linens and resident clothing as required

· Sort soiled linen according to wash formula/type

· Physically and visually checks linen and resident clothing for stains, rips, tears

· Return to correct resident and put away resident clothing and linens in proper areas

· Maintain cleanliness of facility linens and residents’ personal clothing and laundered items

· Expected to report any and all mechanical issues with equipment

· Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety and be aware of any company-related practices

· Utilizes infection control/isolation techniques and P.P.E.

· Implement laundry procedures to meet residents’ needs in compliance with federal, state and local requirements

· Functions may include standing for extended period of time up to 8 hours

· Transportation of laundry, linen, garments, includes, but is not limited to, pushing a cart that may exceed 30 pounds

· Other duties as assigned
