Summary The Warehouse Worker is responsible for managing the daily operations of a mid-size flooring warehouse. FLSA Status: Non-Exempt, Hourly Essential
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Picks and stages daily jobs; preparing materials for daily jobs; accepts and properly stores inventory, and labels inventory.
- Ensures work orders, status updates, shipping/receiving confirmations, and material returns are entered into the company inventory system.
- Monitors inventory to ensure accuracy at all times.
- Processes freight trucks.
- Conducts monthly inventory counts, identifies discrepancies and reconciles differences.
- Organizes and maintains the cleanliness of the warehouse and facility, as well as the responsible outside area.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required: Education and Experience – High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience must involve warehouse operations.
- Language Skills – Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, shipping documents, and material instructions.
- Ability to write correspondence and prepare other documents as needed.
- Proofreads work.
- Mathematical Skills – Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure for basic algebraic and geometric calculations Reasoning Ability – Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Computer Skills – Knowledge of computer workstations and peripheral equipment; experience with various computer applications to include: database, spreadsheet, email, and word processing software.
- Communication Skills –- Be able to effectively communicate orally and in writing in English.
- Vision – Ability to view documents, multiple screens, and read handwritten documents.
- Must be able to see near visually Ability to drive and maintain a driver’s license with personal car insurance Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 75 lbs.
