What You'll Do

• Define and drive frontend architecture strategy across multiple product teams, including micro-frontend design and integration patterns
• Lead complex, cross-functional technical initiatives from design through delivery
• Architect and evolve Progressive Web App (PWA) capabilities — offline support, service workers, installability, and performance
• Set technical standards for code quality, performance, accessibility, and testing
• Mentor junior/senior engineers and help develop the next generation of technical leaders
• Partner with Product, Design, and Engineering leadership to align technical roadmaps with business goals
• Identify and resolve systemic issues in scalability, performance, and developer experience
• Evaluate and introduce new tools, frameworks, and best practices where they add clear value
• Represent frontend engineering in org-wide architecture and planning discussions

What We're Looking For

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a significant focus on frontend development
• Deep expertise in modern JavaScript/TypeScript and frameworks such as ReactJs, and Next.js (SSR, SSG, ISR, routing, and rendering strategies)
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing micro-frontend architectures (e.g., Module Federation, single-spa, or similar)
• Proven experience architecting and scaling complex, high-traffic web applications
• Strong understanding of web performance, accessibility (WCAG), and browser fundamentals
• Track record of leading technical projects that span multiple teams or the broader organization
• Experience mentoring engineers and influencing technical culture without direct management authority
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical tradeoffs for both engineers and non-technical stakeholders

Nice to Have

• Experience Node.js experience, including building and scaling backend-for-frontend (BFF) services and APIs
• Experience building Progressive Web Apps, including service workers, caching strategies, offline-first design, and web app manifests
• Experience with design systems and component libraries at scale
• Familiarity with server-side rendering or edge computing
• Contributions to open-source projects or technical writing/speaking experience
• Experience integrating AI/LLM APIs into product features (even at a basic, API-consumption level)
• Familiarity with prompt engineering basics for coding or productivity use cases
• Experience establishing or improving AI-tool usage guidelines/policies on an engineering team
