The Electronic Payments Specialist is responsible for ensuring timely processing of electronic payment transactions, including ACH, wire transfers, mobile deposits, checks and other electronic payment methods
*Please note this position is hybrid on site in Palo Alto, CA*
Who YOU are:
- Three to five years of financial services experience or a combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the financial services industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team and support or backup other department staff as necessary.
- Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
What YOU’LL do:
- Process and monitor electronic payment transactions, including ACH, wire transfers, mobile deposits, checks, Zelle, and other electronic payment methods, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to electronic payment transactions, working closely with internal departments and external vendors to ensure prompt resolution. Address member inquiries and provide exceptional customer service regarding payment-related matters.
- Collaborate with external payment processors, networks, and other vendors to ensure smooth processing of electronic payments
- Assist accounting and other departments with regular reconciliation of electronic payment transactions, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Resolve any outages or discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Support internal and external audits of the department, including document provisioning and research
