Background

Gaashaan women development organization is non-governmental, non-political humanitarian organization operating in Somaliland. Gaashaan was founded in 10/8/1996, in the main idea behind its inception was derived from successive meeting continuing for a long period of time and exchanging opinions by different women groups in Somaliland thinking the way they should develop themselves and support other women in Somaliland.

Purpose:

Interns will closely work with Gaashaan women development organization’s executive director, admin and finance office. Also they will be attached to different project officers like food security project officer, Human rights officer, child protection officer and other projects.

Responsibilities

• work closely with admin and finance office
• prepare timesheets and attendance sheets
• act as front desk receptionist
• Closely work with Gaashaan ED and other staff.
• Translate documents into English and Somali

Qualifications/ Competencies

• University degree or equivalent in appropriate discipline
• Good communication skills
• Good command in English and Somaliland
• Excellent negotiation skills
• Computing skills like word, Excel, presentations.
• Translation skill is added advantage.
