Sharps Medical Waste Services is seeking an experienced Recruiter to provide additional recruiting support during a period of increased hiring volume. In this role, you will manage full-cycle recruiting for assigned positions and locations, partnering directly with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, source and screen candidates, coordinate interviews, and support the hiring process through offer acceptance. We're looking for someone who can step in quickly, independently manage a high-volume requisition workload, and build strong relationships with candidates and hiring managers.

This is a full-time, six-month fixed-term position employed directly by Sharps Medical Waste Services. The position is benefits eligible while employed and is expected to end at the conclusion of the six-month term. There is currently no expectation of extension or conversion to a permanent position.

    • Conduct candidate screenings and recommend qualified candidates to hiring managers.
    • Coordinate interviews and maintain timely communication with candidates and hiring teams.

    • Initiate and track required pre-employment screenings, including background checks and drug screenings, and follow up with candidates through completion.
    • Develop sourcing strategies for high-volume, specialized, and difficult-to-fill positions.
    • Manage multiple open requisitions and adjust priorities based on changing business needs.
    • Maintain accurate and timely candidate and requisition information within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
    • Provide hiring managers with regular updates on recruiting activity, candidate pipelines, offers, and pre-employment status.
    • Maintain a positive and professional candidate experience throughout the entire hiring process.
    • Follow established recruiting procedures and applicable employment requirements.
