    Job description

    As a Swing Driver, you will deliver excellent service to internal and external customers while representing the company in a professional and courteous manner. You will operate straight trucks, roll offs, and tractor-trailers in compliance with DOT, state, and company safety regulations. You will service assigned accounts efficiently, ensuring customers’ waste pickup and supply delivery needs are met, while assisting at the warehouse as needed. This role includes paid training, company-provided uniforms, leading health benefits, tuition reimbursement, vacation/PTO after 90 days, Stay-On bonus, make this a strong opportunity to grow within an essential, mission-driven industry.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Start early daily and complete assigned Class A commercial driving routes.
    • Move yard trailers and provide roll-off support at least 2 days per week.
    • Cover route-based pickups as needed.
    • Ensure waste, supplies, and material handling equipment are secured prior to operating the vehicle on public highways.
    • Complete all paperwork legibly, accurately, and submit to Transportation Supervisor or Dispatcher.
    • Complete Department of Transportation (DOT) Driver Logs if applicable.
    • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on assigned vehicles; report maintenance issues to Transportation/Dispatcher.
    • Follow all safety procedures to protect yourself and others while driving, loading, and unloading vehicles.
    • Push/pull up to 150 pounds occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds frequently.
    • Utilize Global Positioning System (GPS) and handheld devices for navigation, Electronic Logging Device (ELD) logs, and Electronic Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR).
    • Maintain current Medical Examiner’s Certification (MEC).
    • Other duties as assigned.
