Job Summary:

As a Cashier at Shawarma Guys in Mira Mesa, your primary responsibility is to ensure accurate and efficient transactions while providing exceptional customer service. We're looking for individuals with strong numerical skills pleasant demeanors who thrive in a busy restaurant setting and understand the importance of prompt and considerate attention to our customers! The ability to take phone orders, walk in orders, greet customers, be friendly, focus on our customers needs, and make the interaction positive and friendly every time!

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent

• 1+ years cashier and cash handling experience in a restaurant setting

• 1+ years of experience using a point-of-sale (POS) systems

• 1+ years of experience using third-party order apps such as GrubHub, Uber Eats, Postmates, DoorDash, or delivery services preferred

Skills:

• Good math skills

• Strong command of the English language (also bilingual Spanish speaking a plus)

• Excellent multi-tasking abilities

• Ability to answer phones and greet customers and take orders.

• Enjoy working with a good team.

Abilities:

• Cash handling experience in a restaurant

• Exceptional customer service

• Keen attention to detail

• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills

• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs

• Ability to stand for prolonged periods

• Positive team oriented attitude

Responsibilities:

• Pleasantly greet customers and explain the menu as needed

• Handle customer transactions with accuracy and efficiency and a smile

• Provide excellent customer service with a friendly and professional demeanor

• Ensure all orders are processed correctly and delivered in a timely manner

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the restaurant dining & work area

• Assist with other duties as needed to support the team and business operations
