SAP Basis Administrator

As an SAP Basis Administrator within the SAP CoE team, you will play a critical role in managing and optimizing our SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments. This role requires deep expertise in SAP Basis administration, system monitoring, performance tuning, upgrades, and coordination with service providers. You will be responsible for ensuring high system availability, security, and compliance with SAP best practices while supporting ongoing projects such as S/4HANA implementations, upgrades, and Rise with SAP initiatives. You will collaborate closely with functional leads, solution architects, and external implementation partners to deliver high-performance, scalable, and future-ready SAP solutions.

As an SAP Basis Administrator within the SAP CoE team, you will play a critical role in managing and optimizing our SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments. This role requires deep expertise in SAP Basis administration, system monitoring, performance tuning, upgrades, and coordination with service providers. You will be responsible for ensuring high system availability, security, and compliance with SAP best practices while supporting ongoing projects such as S/4HANA implementations, upgrades, and Rise with SAP initiatives.

You will collaborate closely with functional leads, solution architects, and external implementation partners to deliver high-performance, scalable, and future-ready SAP solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and administer SAP ECC, S/4HANA (including Rise with SAP), Solution Manager, BTP, BW, PI/PO, Fiori, Ariba, EWM, cFolder, and Signavio environments.
• Perform SAP Basis administration tasks, including system monitoring, issue resolution, and performance tuning.
• Implement SAP SSO, SAP Charm, SAP Data Archiving, and support audit/compliance requirements.
• Lead SAP maintenance cycles, DR tests with SAP ECS, and implement EWA recommendations.
• Manage SAP OSS messages, S-User administration, and service requests.
• Support SAP installation, upgrade, and implementation projects, including S/4HANA migrations.
• Coordinate transport management across the SAP landscape.
• Work closely with functional, development, and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth system operations.
• Coordinate with external service providers to deliver high-quality SAP services.

Qualifications and Experience:

• 8–10 years of hands-on experience in SAP Basis administration across SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments.
• Strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA (including Rise with SAP) administration.
• Proven experience with SAP Solution Manager, BTP, BW, PI/PO, Fiori, Ariba, EWM, cFolder, and Signavio.
• Experience in SAP installation, upgrades, performance tuning, and S/4HANA implementation projects.
• Knowledge of SAP SSO, SAP Charm, Data Archiving, and system monitoring tools.
• Experience in leading SAP maintenance cycles, DR tests, and coordinating OSS messages.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve complex technical issues.

Education & Languages:

• B.Tech. in Computer Science, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering.
• Certifications in SAP Basis, AWS, Azure, and HANA 2.0 are preferred.

Additional Information:

• Location: Pune, India (Hybrid)
• Occasional travel to project locations (e.g., Italy) based on project needs.
• Role reports to the SAP Program Manager or SAP CoE Head.
