About the role
We're looking for a full-stack developer who owns features end to end, from database design and APIs to the React/Vue interface users actually touch. You'll build and scale the applications behind our events and media business, working closely with product, design, and QA to turn requirements into reliable, well-tested software. We want someone who understands why a feature matters, questions unclear requirements early, and cares about maintainability as much as delivery. Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain scalable, full-stack web applications with Laravel on the back end and React/Vue on the front end
- Contribute to architecture decisions for applications built to scale: service design, data modeling, caching, and queue-based processing
- Design and build RESTful APIs and integrations with internal and third-party systems
- Develop reusable Laravel packages and front-end components shared across projects
- Own quality and performance: refactor legacy code, optimize queries, and improve response times
- Write automated tests and take part in code reviews and CI/CD improvements
- Document technical decisions, APIs, and specifications
- Work with product, design, and other engineering teams to scope and deliver features
Requirements:
- 5+ years of professional experience with modern OOP PHP (8.x), including 3+ years with Laravel
- Strong knowledge of the Laravel ecosystem: Eloquent, queues and jobs, events, service container, middleware, and authentication (Sanctum or Passport)
- 3+ years of production experience with React or Vue and TypeScript
- Experience designing RESTful APIs, including versioning, validation, authentication, and error handling
- Solid SQL skills (MySQL or PostgreSQL): schema design, indexing, and query optimization
- Experience with caching and queues (Redis, RabbitMQ)
- Hands-on automated testing: PHPUnit or Pest, plus front-end tests (Vitest, Jest, or Playwright)
- Comfortable with Git-based workflows, pull requests, and CI/CD pipelines
- Comfortable working in an AI-assisted workflow (e.g. Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor), with the judgment to review, verify, and take ownership of generated code
- Good written and spoken English

- Inertia.js, Livewire, or Next.js/Nuxt
- Docker and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Forge, Vapor)
- Static analysis (PHPStan/Larastan) and code style tooling (Pint)
- Real-time features (Reverb, WebSockets)
- Experience with event platforms, ticketing, or payment integrations (Stripe)
