This position is part-time and will work approximately 20 hours a week from 12:15 - 4:15pm (Monday -Friday).
Qualifications:
- Basic literacy skills: Ability to read, write and follow written instructions
- Basic math skills: Ability to count, chart and measure
- A minimum of one-year previous experience in the Food Service field is required. (Participation in a food service-related work adjustment or training program will substitute for experience)
- While a HS Diploma/GED is not required for this position, it is Should this position be expanded to include additional duties a HS Diploma/GED may be required. Additionally, a HS Diploma/GED would likely be required to move up to other positions within the agency.
Job Responsibilities includes:
- Taking a consensus of the needed dishes and utensils for all classrooms and the Adult Center.
- Distribution of panned food to each classroom and the Adult Center.
- Scraping, soaking, and washing of all dishes.
- Assist in cleaning the equipment used in food transport.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of food preparation and transport areas.
- Adherence to kitchen safety rules and the Tennessee Department of Health and Environmental This includes daily testing of chlorine levels in the commercial dishwasher.
