Team Members - Meat Processing

Have you thought about a career change but are unsure what to do, why not give this a try? It’s rewarding both financially and physically and as an essential service, we simply don’t stop so neither does your work.

We are looking for motivated people who simply want to give meat processing a go and we can guarantee you it’s not like you think it might be! You might be experienced already (brilliant!) or have no experience at all which is all good as we provide all the training plus your work clothes and your safety equipment.

Our processing departments are where carcasses are processed into finer cuts and packed to be sent to over one hundred countries worldwide who love to devour our 100% grass-fed red meat.

What’s on offer: 

• Roles such as Butchers, Slaughterers Assistants, Trimmers, Boners, Freezer Hands, General Labourers
• Trainees or experienced people are welcome to apply
• A range of employment options to suit your needs – including flexible working arrangements and job sharing

Te mahi, our working arrangements:

• Complete your on-the-job training and earn a minimum of $28.82/hr plus extras
• Usually, 40 hours per week during peak production season, plus overtime opportunities.
• Minimum $43/hr production overtime rate.
• All work clothing and safety gear is provided.

Te tikanga, the job requirements:

• No experience? No problem, we provide all the training you need.
• You're an active team member who attends work daily, can work closely with others, and brings a positive, hardworking attitude.
• Able to understand and follow health and safety, quality and technical compliance requirements.
• Eligible to work in New Zealand
• Must be 18 years or older to meet audit requirements
• Able to pass pre-employment medical checks, criminal convictions check and physical fitness requirements.
