Summary: The lead/host cashier position is a beginning step to assuming a leadership in Food and Beverage. The position oversees flow of guest seating, POS training and assists Supervisors in closing and opening procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- One-year related experience and/or training.
License Requirement(s):
- Class II Gaming License, Acquire Food Handlers permit within 30 days of hire
Essential Job Functions:
- Responsible for organization of reception and seating of patrons in the restaurant.
- Trains staff in Barista drink recipes and quality control
- Receives payment from Food and Beverage guests in a prompt, efficient and courteous manner.
- Records dollar amount received and prepares reports of transactions.
- Verifies record totals shown in cash register tape and balances against cash on hand.
- Answers telephones and makes guest reservations, if necessary.
- Assists with restaurant set-up and closing
- Trains all new host cashiers in guest service, policies and procedures
Physical/Mental Requirements:
- Constantly walking, standing, hearing, seeing and talking.
- Occasionally balancing, bending, reaching, twisting, sitting, holding, wrist motion, reading and stooping.
Working Conditions:
- Work in smoking environment
- Subjected to a fast-passed noisy environment
