Fabricator – Second Shift

YOU

As a 2nd shift Fabricator, you will be responsible for bending, seating, flanging and top flanging material according to work order and production drawing specifications in such a manner as to achieve safety, quality, efficiency and lean production goals. The shift hours are 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., and the role is eligible for a $0.75 shift differential.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (% of Time)

Machine Set‑Up, Programming, and Operation – 40%

• Independently performs set‑up, programming, troubleshooting, and operation of one or more production machines, including: Automatic presses, Turret presses, and Utility presses (shears, press brakes, manual presses)
• Ensure machines run efficiently, safely, and to required specifications.

Fabrication and Layout Work – 25%

• Performs layout, fabrication, and assembly tasks needed to meet production requirements.
• Creates and fabricates customer specialty items when required.

Troubleshooting and Quality Control – 15%

• Diagnoses mechanical and process issues with equipment or fabricated parts.
• Verifies accuracy of completed work using measuring tools and quality standards.

Equipment Maintenance and Safety Compliance – 10%

• Conducts basic equipment care, cleaning, and preventative maintenance.
• Follows all safety, operational, and company production procedures.

Training and Team Support – 10%

• Trains and assists other production employees.
• Provides guidance on machine operations, safety practices, and fabrication techniques

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Mathematical Reasoning: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
• Attention to Detail: Attention to detail and ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Communication Skills: Applies customer service principles and processes on the job and with others. Speaks in the most effective way to relay information. Listens and asks questions to ensure understanding.
• Safety: Able to consistently prioritize safety by demonstrating a safe work practices by promoting a safe and clean work environment.
• Self-Management Skills: Uses time efficiently to complete tasks.
• Quality Standards Knowledge: Area Expert at understanding the quality standards and quality control processes.
• Ability to Work Independently:  Follows both written and oral instructions, including safety guidelines, work instructions, and company policies.
• Production and Processing: Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
• Operation Monitoring: Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.

TRAVEL REQUIRED

This position requires domestic travel up to 5% of the time.

WORK STATUS & LOCATION

This full-time, non-exempt position is located in Riverside CA.

RELOCATION

Relocation is not available for this position.

PAY

$20.75 – $25.40 / hour

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, see, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. This role operates large equipment while standing for approximately 8-12 hours, regularly twisting and bending in a repetitive motion. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may frequently lift, carry, push and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and heavier weights with proper equipment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The job may risk exposure to heat and/or cold, loud noise levels, vibration, and moving mechanical parts.
