YOUR ROLE AT SIXT
- You build ML powered systems together with Data Scientists and ML Engineers, from the first design session to the validated outcome in production, with one team working toward one goal
- You understand the business and the processes to build solutions and not only write code
- You design and build robust backend services in Go that power the risk steering cycle and decision-making workflows
- You are responsible for designing, developing, and operating end-to-end distributed systems on the cloud
- You participate in code reviews, contribute to team knowledge sharing and maintain documentation
- You work on event-driven systems and keep yourself up to date with the latest technologies to help you create scalable and resilient software
YOUR SKILLS MATTER
- Education You hold a B.Tech, B.E., or Master's Degree in Computer Science or a closely related discipline
- Tech Stack You bring strong, production-proven experience in Go, plus confidence in at least one more language such as Python or Java
- Experience You have 7+ years of experience working in sophisticated technology environments such as building cloud-native applications, solving scalability challenges, designing event-driven solutions, and good to have working experience in ML-powered products
- Cloud You have already designed or operated distributed systems and microservices architectures, with a clear understanding of the trade-offs that come with operating at scale, and experience working with cloud providers (AWS or similar)
- Tools & Systems You have good understanding of event-driven platforms, pub-sub and messaging using brokers such as Kafka, NSQ or RabbitMQ
- Mindset You have a product-oriented mindset and attention to detail
- Team Spirit You act as a partner to Risk, Engineering, and Data Science; you challenge unclear framing, explain trade-offs in business terms, and communicate fluently
