Commercial Assistant - FTC (Secondment Opportunity)

You will be working in the Building Services Operating Unit, working across schools, colleges, and universities in four UK regions, our Building Services division delivers complete facilities management - M&E, cleaning, catering, and grounds - via efficient planned and reactive services powered by technology, ensuring safe, healthy learning environments.

We are currently looking for a Commercial Assistant on a 12 month fixed-term basis (secondment opportunity), based at the 51 Moorgate office in London, who will support the commercial team in delivering effective contractual and financial management across Skanska’s Commercial Property Maintenance portfolio, covering both planned and reactive maintenance works.

As the Commercial Assistant, you will:

• Support the commercial team with forecasting, reporting, and the effective use of commercial systems and tools.
• Reconcile commercial data to ensure accurate, timely, and consistent reporting.
• Assist the commercial team with subcontractor payments and the preparation and submission of client invoices.
• Help raise orders with the supply chain and assist in the compilation of subcontract agreements.
• Provide support during negotiations with supply chain partners.
• Monitor commercial activities and escalate issues where appropriate.

We are looking for:

• Experience of working effectively across multiple teams and collaborating with a range of stakeholders.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Well-developed organisational skills with the ability to manage priorities effectively.
• Good IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
