Engineering Surveyor

You will be working in the Infrastructure OU where our team brings design, build and refurbishment excellence to complex civil engineering projects nationwide – combining technical expertise with a passion for creating lasting value for people and places.

Our team is creating a vital 1.6‑mile link road between the M54 and M6, complete with upgraded junctions and three new bridges. This direct motorway connection will reduce congestion and strengthen regional connectivity.

We are currently looking for an Engineering Surveyor who will enable Skanska to achieve its purpose of Building for a Better Society through delivering Operational Excellence on this project.

As the Engineering Surveyor, you will:

• Undertake the engineering survey requirements for the project.
• Assist on the production of forecast and reports of the survey equipment for the project.
• Support delivery of the Engineering Surveying 2027 strategy.
• Provide expert geospatial advice, cost estimates, and technical expertise to meet project site requirements.
• Ensure that the project has the appropriate survey control network to undertake their operational tasks and report shortfalls.

We are looking for:

• Degree in Land Surveying or Engineering Surveying or ONC/B Tec in Land Surveying or previous experience as a Graduate Engineering Surveyor or Engineering surveying Technician.
• Ability to use survey instruments, software and working methods.
• Ideally, has a Technical professional Membership of CICES or equivalent body  
• Commercial awareness.
