Fabric Technician - Moor House

You will be working in the Building Services Operating Unit, in the Commercial Property Maintenance (CPM) department, delivering nationwide facilities management, including M&E support, cleaning, catering, and grounds maintenance, using technology for efficient planned and reactive services.

We are currently looking for an Fabric Technician, based at Moor House in central London, who will deliver planned preventive and reactive maintenance across the building fabric, while supporting maintenance and improvement works to mechanical and electrical (M&E) services, ensuring the property remains safe, compliant, and fully operational.

As the Fabric Technician, you will:

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and additional works in line with engineering standards and Health and Safety at Work requirements.
• Perform building fabric maintenance and repairs, including doors, doorframes, walls, partitions, ceilings, skirtings, and associated fixtures and fittings.
• Undertake both major and minor carpentry works, including general repairs, shelving, and fixture installation.
• Provide general labouring support and work collaboratively with internal teams and external specialists as required.
• Complete routine compliance and maintenance tasks, including water temperature checks, basic plumbing maintenance, and fire extinguisher checks.
• Maintain accurate daily timesheets, inspection records, and maintenance documentation, ensuring all paperwork is submitted promptly.

We are looking for:

• City & Guilds qualification, or equivalent, in a relevant trade, with proven experience in commercial building maintenance.
• Strong painting and decorating skills, with a high level of attention to detail and quality finish.
• Proven experience in a customer-facing role, preferably within a commercial maintenance environment.
• Someone who can support the maintenance, repair, and improvement of mechanical and electrical (M&E) services as part of a wider facilities maintenance role.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, with strong organisational and time management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and logical and evidence-based approach to problem solving.
