Job Title: Junior Site Engineer

Job Summary
The Junior Site Engineer will provide technical support and supervision for on-site construction activities. You will be responsible for ensuring that work is carried out according to architectural/engineering designs, within the specified timeline, and in compliance with safety and quality standards. This is a hands-on role requiring active presence on the construction floor.
Key Responsibilities
1. Site Supervision & Execution
- Supervise daily construction activities to ensure they align with approved blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Monitor and coordinate the work of subcontractors and site laborers to maintain productivity.
- Assist in setting out site works, including leveling and surveying to ensure accurate placement of structures.
2. Quality Control & Safety
- Conduct regular inspections of work-in-progress to identify and rectify any technical defects or deviations from the plan.
- Enforce strict adherence to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) protocols to maintain a zero-accident site.
- Verify that the materials delivered to the site meet the required project standards.
3. Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare and submit Daily Progress Reports (DPR) detailing manpower, material usage, and milestones achieved.
- Maintain a detailed site diary and document any delays or weather-related issues.
- Assist in the preparation of "As-Built" drawings upon project completion.
4. Resource Management
- Monitor material inventory on-site to prevent shortages or wastage.
- Coordinate with the procurement team for timely delivery of equipment and supplies.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (Excel).
- Basic understanding of project management software (e.g., MS Project or Primavera).
- Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and structural plans.
- Attributes: Strong problem-solving skills, physical stamina for site work, and excellent communication skills to bridge the gap between management and laborers.
Working Conditions
- This is a site-based position; the candidate must be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- May require extended hours or weekend work depending on project deadlines and critical milestones.
