    Job description

    Position Title

Slater and Gordon Lawyers are a leading personal injury and class actions law firm where every member of our team has a shared passion for our clients: we are people caring for people.

Our commitment to our people includes offering genuine work-life balance, with a hybrid work environment allowing them to split their time between home and the office. We recognise and reward high performance and have outstanding employee benefits including a week of shutdown leave, paid parental leave, extra-long service leave, together with various ongoing learning and professional development opportunities.

    What are we looking for?

The Salesforce Developer plays a pivotal role in developing, enhancing, and supporting the firm’s Salesforce platform as part of a major technology transformation. The platform is both client and internal facing and provides a rich set of functionality, including integrations with various other systems.
Working within the Client Connect team, the role is accountable for implementing high quality Salesforce solutions, following Salesforce best practices and internal delivery standards, to enable business agility, scale and improved client experiences. This is a full-time fixed term opportunity for a period of 12 months.

    What will you bring?

    - Perform all tasks related to the day-to-day operations and administration of the Salesforce platform.
    - Manage and maintain Salesforce Sandbox and UAT environments, ensuring environments are fit for purpose and aligned with release needs.
    - Assist in release management activities to promote tested functionality from sandbox and UAT into production environments in a controlled and auditable manner.
    - Undertake research and analysis to identify future Salesforce and broader technology trends and assess their applicability to the firm.
    - Lead or participate in projects and initiatives that support the objectives of the business and the broader Client Connect roadmap.
    - Design and build Salesforce solutions that are scalable, maintainable, secure, and aligned to Salesforce recommended patterns and best practices.
    - Create, document, and help embed delivery and coding standards for the Salesforce ecosystem, including code review practices and development guidelines.
    - Develop and maintain Apex classes, triggers, Visualforce pages, Lightning components (Aura/LWC), integrations and APIs, ensuring quality and performance.
    - Configure and maintain web technologies related to Salesforce, including Visualforce, HTML, CSS and JavaScript libraries such as jQuery, where appropriate.
    - Automate deployment processes using GitHub pipelines and other DevOps tools (for example Bitbucket or Copado) to support continuous integration and continuous delivery.
    - Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, testers and other IT teams to understand requirements, refine user stories and translate them into effective technical solutions.
    - Apply a structured delivery lifecycle, including requirements analysis, solution design, development, testing, deployment and post-implementation support.
    - Contribute to sprint planning, sprint execution and release management, including work prioritisation and resource planning within Agile ways of working.
    - Produce and maintain clear technical documentation, including solution designs, configuration details and operational runbooks as required.
    - Ensure solutions align with information security, privacy and compliance expectations, and support appropriate controls and auditability.

    - 3–5 years’ hands-on experience with Salesforce Lightning, including Lightning App Builder and Lightning Web Components (LWC).
    - Demonstrated experience across the full delivery lifecycle: requirements analysis, solution design, development, testing and deployment.
    - Strong experience with Apex, Visualforce, Aura/LWC components, XML, JSON, REST/SOAP APIs and JavaScript.
    - Experience with web technologies including Visualforce, HTML, CSS and jQuery.
    - Practical experience with integrations between Salesforce and other enterprise systems and services.
    - Proven use of development and DevOps tools such as Bitbucket, Copado and GitHub.
    - Experience in sprint and release management, including work prioritisation, estimation and resource planning.
    - Experience managing and maintaining Salesforce Sandbox and UAT environments in support of structured release processes.
    - Proven ability to apply Salesforce architectural concepts and solution patterns in line with Salesforce best practices. Experience in a professional services or legal services environment.
    - Experience contributing to or defining Salesforce coding and delivery standards within a team.
