Slifco Electric is a premier electrical contracting firm serving the Automotive, Heavy Industrial, and Mission Critical sectors. We specialize in both ground-up construction and major renovations, managing electrical packages ranging from small service work to multi-million-dollar installations.
As an Electrical Estimator, you’ll play a critical role in helping Slifco Electric secure successful projects by delivering accurate, competitive, and well-structured estimates.
You’ll collaborate closely with leadership and project teams during preconstruction while helping shape project strategy before the first wire is ever pulled.
- Prepare accurate and competitive electrical estimates for industrial projects.
- Review and analyze drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
- Perform detailed material take-offs and labor analysis.
- Evaluate vendor and subcontractor proposals and pricing.
- Identify project risks, scope gaps, and value engineering opportunities.
- Collaborate with Project Managers and leadership during preconstruction.
- Maintain organized, clear, and defensible estimate documentation.
- Support project handoff to operations teams after award.
- 3+ years of electrical estimating experience or strong electrical construction background.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and installation practices.
- Ability to confidently read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Experience with estimating software platforms.
- Data Center project experience (preferred).
- Accubid experience (preferred).
- Journeyman Electrician License (preferred).
- Strong computer proficiency and technical aptitude.
