SRM Concrete is seeking a skilled Tanker Operator to safely transport cement from supply terminals to our concrete plants—playing a vital role in keeping our operations running smoothly. Your Mission & Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class A tanker truck, transporting cement from terminals to various SRM Concrete plant locations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Accurately complete and maintain logbooks, delivery documentation, and other required paperwork in line with company policies and DOT regulations.
- Communicate proactively with dispatch to receive delivery instructions and provide updates on route progress.
- Ensure secure loading and unloading of cement, preventing spillage or contamination.
- Follow established routes, schedules, and safety procedures for transporting materials.
- Provide exceptional customer service at delivery sites, representing SRM Concrete with professionalism.
- Promptly report any vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or vehicle damage.
- Stay current on safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
What Sets You Apart
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). Tanker Endorsement is helpful, but not required.
- Current DOT Medical Card.
- Minimum of 2 years’ proven experience driving Class A tanker trucks.
- Clean driving record with no serious tickets or accidents in the last 5 years.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards for material transport.
- Physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds and perform tasks involving bending, lifting, and climbing.
- Excellent time management skills to meet delivery schedules.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for working with plant personnel and customers.
- Willingness to undergo SRM’s pre-employment screenings.
- Positive, “go-getter” attitude and commitment to SRM’s 5 Principles of Service: Safety, Quality, Kindness, Cleanliness, and Go-Getter.
