Summary/objective: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for completing routine and emergency repairs to equipment, fixtures, fittings and building systems.
Essential functions
- Performs routine inspections and maintenance of industrial machinery and equipment.
- Conducts planned maintenance activities to prevent equipment breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
- Performs and maintains monthly and quarterly PM schedules on all plant equipment including compressors, boilers, and heating equipment.
- Additional Responsibilities Review and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to assist in the installation or repair of equipment.
- Makes necessary modifications and implements test runs on machinery as required.
- Performs basic plumbing, welding, and HVAC repairs as needed.
- Inspect equipment to ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
- Follow and maintain lock out tag out records for all equipment at assigned facility.
- Performs all work using safety equipment as instructed while obeying all safety rules and procedures.
