With a dynamic mix of full-service and focused hotels across major cities, our diverse portfolio of owned, managed, and franchised properties means we’re everywhere our guests need us to be.

But here’s the thing—we’re not just in the business of hotels, we’re in the business of people. We bring service with passion, loyalty with purpose, and create experiences that genuinely connect—delivering quality, value, and memorable stays across 1,000+ properties in eight countries (and counting).

The Painter performs professional painting and finishing work to ensure hotel aesthetic quality and physical plant standards are achieved and maintained. The Painter takes care of the interior and exterior surfaces, furniture, and fixtures of the hotel. • Take responsibility for and inform management of hazardous situations, emergencies, or threats to the security of guests, associates, or hotel assets.
    • Complete work orders specifically related to interior and exterior finishes, including patching drywall, repairing vinyl wallcoverings, caulking, and painting.
    • Perform preventative maintenance on guest rooms and public spaces, ensuring walls, baseboards, and ceilings meet brand aesthetic standards.
    • Refurbish furniture and fixtures such as cabinets, tables, chairs, doors, and counters. Strip, sand, stain, paint, and seal furniture to ensure it remains in "like-new" condition.
    • Maintain the visual integrity of the exterior of the facility, including painting curbs, parking lot striping, directional signage, and exterior trim.
    • Follow procedures that ensure the security of inventory and assets such as paint stock, brushes, sprayers, ladders, and specialized finishing tools.
    • Ensure that the front entrance area, lobby, and guest corridors are free of scuffs, scratches, and peeling paint, maintaining a clean and presentable appearance.
    • Prepare and clean all assigned equipment, ensuring brushes, rollers, and sprayers are operational and stored correctly for the following day’s work.
    • Maintain logs and records of paint codes, color formulas, and schedules of completed work to ensure consistency across the property.
    • Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication with Housekeeping and Engineering to coordinate room availability for touch-ups.
    • Comply with federal, state, and local laws regarding health and safety, specifically regarding Lead-Based Paint regulations, VOC compliance, and proper disposal of hazardous materials.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

    • Advanced vocational training in painting and decorating plus two years of experience in professional painting or finishing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Knowledge of surface preparation, including drywall taping, mudding, and sanding, as well as knowledge of various paint types and wood stains.
    • Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English; other languages beneficial.
    • Reading and writing abilities are required to interpret color charts, mixing instructions, and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
    • Mathematical skills, including calculating square footage for paint coverage and estimating supply needs.
