As a Management Accountant you will prepare management reports, budgeting, and analysis to support South Yorkshire Police (SYP) with an overall view of performance for Business Units (BU). You will also provide strategic financial insights and collaborate with BU leaders to align financial strategies with business objectives.
You will support the budget setting and budget monitoring processes in accordance with corporate timetables and develop the accountancy function to contribute to overall Force financial objectives.
Duties include, providing line management and day to day leadership & support to a team of Finance Officers.

Line Management of a team of Finance Officers, providing direction and leadership, proactively managing performance, setting clear and stretching objectives, providing regular and constructive feedback, training and development and timely PDRs.
Deputise for the Senior Management Accountant in their absence and where relevant seek support from the wider Management Accounting and Finance Business Partnering Teams in terms of deputising duties.
