Vogtle IT Field Ops Technician
JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for providing excellence customer service and proactive technical expertise to facilitate the implementation of new equipment and operating systems and upgrades to existing computer equipment. Furthermore, working on miscellaneous request while working in a team environment to provide outstanding customer support. In this function this position reports directly to the site IT manager.
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s/Associates of Applied Science/AS degree in Computer Systems Technology, Network or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and/or Information Technology is preferred. Related work experience will also be considered.

Experience with different types of Microsoft applications and general broad knowledge of IT to troubleshoot application issues reported by the business (computers, networks, Windows servers, packaged applications, etc.).
Ability to provide on-call support.
ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS:
This IT Field Ops Technician position will report to the IT Manager at Vogtle Nuclear Plant. This position will report and perform duties on-site. Only in extreme conditions will remote work be approved. It is desirable for this individual to live within a 50-mile radius of the plant.
The successful candidate must pass background and drug screening requirements associated with working in the nuclear industry.
