Southern Foodservice Management, a national contract foodservice company, is looking to hire a Grill Cook for our Voya location in Atlanta, GA. The schedule is Monday – Thursday. Some Fridays and evenings will be required on occasion. The shift schedule is 5:00 AM – 2:00 PM. The pay range is $18.00 - $19.00 per hour. There is no bus line; transportation is required.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Food Preparation & Service Operate the Grill Station during meal periods, preparing and serving grill menu items.
- Assist with food preparation, cooking sides, and other items as assigned.
- Set up and stock the Grill Station, Deli Station, and Salad Bar for service by the prescribed timeline.
- Cook required meal items according to the daily menu, ensuring correct internal temperatures and safe holding temperatures.
- Maintain accurate food temperature logs for all prepared items.
- Refill food items during service and ensure stations are maintained throughout the meal period.
- Provide friendly, attentive service while working on the serving lines.
- Break down and clean service areas after each meal period.
- Safety & Compliance Follow all food safety and handling guidelines, including TB MED and HACCP standards.
- Adhere to proper safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Conduct duties in a professional manner and uphold Southern Foodservice’s code of conduct.
- Follow direction from management.
- Cleaning Assignment Clean the Grill Station and equipment after each meal period.
- Assist with daily kitchen and serving area cleaning as directed.
- Wash dishes, wash floors, and collect and dispose of garbage as needed.
- Additional Support Assist with catering events, including some evening shifts.
- Help with new menu ideas when requested.
- Support meal production, service, and dining facility cleaning tasks assigned by Supervisors.
- Other Duties All staff members are also responsible for other duties or tasks that are assigned by the Assistant Managers or Supervisors, as a part of any “Job” or “Position” assigned during a normal work schedule.
- Team members may be assigned to support the meal production, service and cleaning after the meal or the dining facility.
