    Job description

    • Diagnose clients using the current Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM).
    • Evaluate clients’ mental health and substance abuse conditions based on comprehensive review of client information. Perform clinical assessments and develop treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
    • Act as a client advocate, coordinating required services and responding to emergency or crisis situations.
    • Collect information through interviews, observations, and screening instruments. Maintain and update treatment records and reports.
    • Utilize various therapy modalities with individual clients and groups to support behavioral and emotional growth.
    • Use SCS Electronic Healthcare Record to document services accurately and timely, maintaining client confidentiality.
    • Participate in on-call emergency rotations when eligible for hospital privileges.
    • Comply with all SCS policies and procedures.
    • Function effectively as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team.
    • Stay informed on emerging research and best practices in therapeutic treatment modalities.
    • Meet or exceed assigned Direct Service Hours (DSH) annually.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to generate professional-quality reports, documentation, and correspondence.
    • Strong time management and organizational skills.
    • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address complex client needs.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
    • Empathy and compassion while providing therapeutic care.
    • Ability to meet deadlines consistently.
    • Knowledge of human behavior, individual differences, learning and motivation, psychological research methods, and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders.
    • Knowledge of principles, methods, and procedures for diagnosing, treating, and rehabilitating behavioral health disorders.
    • Understanding of group behavior, societal trends, cultural influences, and client diversity.
    • Respectful and professional when working with diverse populations.
    • Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
    • Knowledge of and adherence to regulatory standards, including CARF, HIPAA, agency compliance protocols, and SCS policies.
    • Familiarity with GASB and GAAP financial reporting standards to ensure fiscal integrity and accountability.

    Education and Experience:

    • Master’s degree in a clinically accredited program.
    • Eligibility for licensure in the State of Wyoming and maintenance of licensure for practice and insurance reimbursement.
    • Eligibility and ability to maintain professional liability insurance provided by SCS.
