PR Intern

Position Summary:

Spa Utopia PR Interns are expected to be eager, ready to learn, and help out with any task. We are looking for a student who is responsible, punctual, and possesses good communication skills with a professional demeanor. We are open to any student on the college level who is enthusiastic and willing to learn. We prefer a student who would create and seek out projects and who holds great verbal and written communication skills.

The internship is not compensated; however there are many opportunities to receive excellent practical experience. Proficiency in, excel, web-based research, social media, basic understanding of consumer marketing.

General Duties (include but are not limited to):

• Brainstorming meetings to develop ideas for press and public outreach in our film publicity campaigns
• Building specific press contacts
• Research projects on prior marketing campaigns, talent press history, or specific press contacts/outlets
• General office work (copies, mailings, shredding, phones, etc.)
• Helping with events (press junkets, red carpet premieres, etc.) • Organizing film screenings
• Maintaining contact lists
• Updating status reports and various documents
• Conduct Internet Research on the spa and hospitality sector
• Developing PR Strategies that gain press and media exposure (TV/Radio/Print/Web)
• Driving PR Campaigns via social media, press releases, creative marketing campaigns
• Creating & managing successful PR events

***Other admin & support duties might involve some, recruiting support, data-entry, handling courier deliverables and receivables

Standard Intern Requirements:

·Daily phone updates the 1st week (on working days)

Daily updates via phone, email or Voxer after the 1st week (on working days) along with weekly email  report updates.

·Interns are 100% responsible for calling in at their agreed upon start time for their scheduled work days.

·Our internships are primarily (80-100%) virtual with the exception of weekly or occasional meetings, special projects, marketing & sales meetings and company events for local interns

Interns are 100% responsible for calling in at their agreed upon start time for their scheduled work days. Calling in is considered showing up for work, not checking in is considered not showing up for work.

Evaluations & Coaching:

There will be 30, 60 & 90 day and final evaluations provided to offer business coaching, feedback and professional development.
