    Job description

    About Orthodent Laboratory

Orthodent Laboratory (ODL), part of the Specialty Appliances family, is one of the nation's leading orthodontic laboratories, helping orthodontists create healthier, more confident smiles for patients across the country.

Every appliance we manufacture is custom-made for a specific patient using a combination of skilled craftsmanship, advanced technology, and precision manufacturing. From traditional orthodontic appliances to digital workflows, 3D printing, and CAD/CAM technologies, we're committed to delivering exceptional quality while continuously investing in innovation and our people.

Located in our modern production facility on Chandler Street in Buffalo, ODL offers a clean, bright, and comfortable work environment where employees receive paid, hands-on training and have opportunities to build rewarding, long-term careers.

    What We're Looking For

We're looking for dependable, detail-oriented individuals who enjoy working with their hands and take pride in producing high-quality work. No previous orthodontic or dental laboratory experience is required. We'll teach you everything you need to know through our paid, hands-on training program. If you enjoy learning new skills, working in a team environment, and creating products that genuinely improve people's lives, we'd love to meet you.

    What You'll Do

As an Orthodontic Laboratory Production Technician, you'll help manufacture custom orthodontic appliances that improve patients' smiles and quality of life. Depending on your department, your work may include:

    • Handcrafting custom orthodontic appliances using specialized tools and equipment.
    • Bending orthodontic wires to precise specifications.
    • Finishing and polishing stainless steel appliances.
    • Operating laser welding and other manufacturing equipment.
    • Working with acrylics, metals, and other specialty materials.
    • Collecting, organizing, and processing customer cases.
    • Inspecting your work to ensure it meets our quality standards.
    • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Every appliance you complete is custom-made for an individual patient, making attention to detail and craftsmanship essential.
