As a Polymer Processing Engineer within our Healthcare Solutions business, you will play a critical role in developing and scaling advanced polymer technologies that help enable next-generation healthcare applications. Working at the intersection of research, product development, and manufacturing, you will lead hands-on process development activities that take new materials from laboratory experimentation through pilot-scale validation and commercial implementation.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across R&D, operations, manufacturing, and customers to develop innovative solutions that address evolving market and customer needs.
What You'll Do
Lead the design and execution of laboratory and pilot-scale experiments to develop, optimize, and scale polymer processing technologies.
Apply your expertise to troubleshoot processing challenges, identify root causes, and implement practical, data-driven solutions.
Work hands-on with a range of advanced processing equipment, including extrusion, casting, coating, and molding systems, to develop new materials and products.
Prepare prototypes and samples for internal and external stakeholders to support product development and customer engagement activities.
Partner with scientists, engineers, manufacturing teams, and external partners to successfully transfer technologies from development to production.
Support process scale-up efforts and contribute to the successful commercialization of new products and technologies.
Analyze experimental data, interpret results, and provide actionable recommendations that drive project decisions.
Author technical reports, establish operating procedures, and communicate findings to technical and business stakeholders.
Lead or contribute to strategic process development projects while managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
What You'll Bring
Required Qualifications
Master's degree in Polymer Science, Polymer Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
Minimum 5 years of hands-on polymer processing experience, including silicones and at least one of the following technologies:
Coating processes and equipment
Extrusion processes and equipment
Injection molding
Strong understanding of polymer processing principles and manufacturing processes.
Demonstrated experience designing experiments, conducting process trials, and solving complex technical challenges.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into clear technical recommendations and business decisions.
Proven ability to manage projects independently while delivering high-quality results.
Curiosity, adaptability, and a strong desire to learn new materials, technologies, and applications.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
Fluent written and spoken English and French.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience processing thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs).
Knowledge of adhesion mechanisms and their impact on product performance and manufacturability.
Experience supporting process scale-up, manufacturing implementation, and technology transfer in an industrial environment.
Familiarity with healthcare, medical device, or other regulated application environments
