About this role

We are looking for a Yard Hand with a positive attitude and strong work ethic to join our Plant team at Wellcamp (Toowoomba).

Reporting to the Corporate Plant Manager, you will play a key role in supporting daily yard operations, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a safe and efficient work environment. This is a hands-on role with the potential to support projects on an ad hoc basis.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance to ensure plant equipment is safe and reliable.
• Keep the yard and workshop clean and safe, managing waste and disposal.
• Manage inventory for tools, equipment, spare parts, and supplies.
• Safely coordinate the movement of vehicles and machinery in the yard and workshop.
• Handle loading and unloading of deliveries, plant, and equipment.
• Conduct daily inspections of the workshop and equipment.
• Follow company safety policies and all health and safety regulations.

To be considered for this role, you will ideally possess the following:

• High Risk Work Licenses (e.g., Forklift, rigging, dogging)
• RII competencies (e.g., working at heights, confined spaces, excavator)
• Workshop and yard experience desirable
• Understanding of plant, maintenance, and logistics processes
• Good communication and time management skills
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and organised yard
