Key Account Manager, Benelux & Nordics

Ready to make an impact in the dynamic toy industry? As our new Key Account Manager, Benelux & Nordics at Spin Master, you will step into the magical world of toys and entertainment. Based in our commercial office in Amsterdam, you are not just managing accounts – you are building strategic partnerships that bring our toy brands to life at our retailers. Operating within a collaborative team of sales and marketing professionals, you will hold full commercial ownership of your portfolio. Your mission? To maximize business opportunities, drive profitability, and consistently exceed retailer expectations in two of our most vibrant European regions.

This is an Amsterdam based role and will be expected to be in the office four days a week.

How will you create impact?

Strategic Account & Joint Business Planning

• Joint Business Plans: Develop and execute bi-annual Joint Business Plans (JBPs) in close alignment with customers to drive mutual and sustainable growth.
• Listing & Category Management: Lead the product selection and listing process for your portfolio, securing optimal online and on-shelf presence.
• Relationship Management: Maintain and deepen strong commercial and personal relationships, positioning Spin Master as a preferred supplier.

Commercial Presentations & Marketing Collaboration

• Marketing & Media Alignment: Partner closely with Brand and Trade Marketing to co-develop, align, and present powerful product presentations, business proposals, and advertising plans.
• Innovative Campaigns: Create and deliver innovative, sales-driven account plans that maximize Spin Master’s brand visibility and activation in stores and online.

Forecasting, Demand Planning & Data Analysis

• Demand Forecasting: Collaborate with the Planning team to build accurate monthly retailer forecasts based on POS data, inventory levels, and promotional activities.
• Data-Driven Opportunities: Analyze sell-through data and market intelligence to identify growth opportunities, optimize stock levels, and minimize commercial risks.

Budget & Profitability Management

• Financial Accountability: Maximize and secure account profitability by delivering on revenue, volume, and margin targets.
• Budget Administration: Proactively manage customer-specific budgets, promotional investments, and ensure trade terms and Salesforce records are always up to date.

Teamwork, Communication & Execution

• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work proactively in a multi-disciplinary team environment (Sales, Marketing, Finance, Planning, Operations) to deliver top-tier customer service.
• Solution-Oriented Culture: Communicate clearly and efficiently with customers to resolve challenges quickly, contributing to a collaborative, solution-oriented team culture.

How will you fit into the team?
This role reports directly into the Sales Manager Benelux & Nordics.

What are your skills and experience?

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar Key Account Management role within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), or Toy/Entertainment industry.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• Proven understanding of the Toy Market or related licensing industries is highly preferred.
• Languages:
  • Dutch: Native level (written and verbal).
  • English: Fluent (written and verbal). Essential as English is the business language for the Nordics region and internal communications.
  • French: Good working knowledge is considered a strong asset.
  • Scandinavian languages: (Swedish, Danish, Norwegian) are an advantage.

The anticipated pay range for this role is 59,000 EUR to 79,000 EUR Per Annum. The offered pay to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience within the job, years of experience within the required industry, skills, competencies, education, etc.
