About the OrthTeam Centre
The OrthTeam Centre (OTC) is an Outpatients and Diagnostic private facility which opened in September 2019. This exciting joint venture between OrthTeam Consultants and Spire Healthcare is an ideal opportunity for individuals looking to join a friendly team and be part of a developing Musculoskeletal service, including:
Orthopaedic, Neurosurgical and Neurological assessments
Peripheral nerve injury assessments
Pain Management
Sports and exercise medicine assessments

Sports cardiology assessments
3T MRI
Fluoroscopy guided injections
Digital X-ray
Diagnostic Ultrasound

Duties and responsibilities:

• Care for patients, carers, visitors, and relatives during their visit to the Department
• To act as chaperone in line with policy
• To help with the movement of patients in the examination rooms
• To use the Radiology information system (RIS) to record the patients Radiology episode
• To liaise with a wide range of staff caring for the patient- including Radiographers, Nurses, Radiologists, Consultants and external departments.
• To assist with audit projects as required.
• To be responsible for complying with Health & Safety policy, agreed policies and procedures of the Radiology Department, the local rules under IRMER (ionising radiation law) and the agreed policies and procedures of the Spire Healthcare.
• To maintain a high standard of cleanliness with in the whole of the Radiology.
• To maintain patient confidentiality at all times.

• To work as part of a team.

Who we're looking for:

• To have knowledge of Radiology systems (RIS, PACS, IEP, Patient Database)
• Previous experience of working as an HCA in a hospital environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential
• Healthcare qualifications desirable but not essential
• Previous experience working in a Medical Imaging/Radiology department is desired but not essential
• Experience in cannulation is also desirable but not essential as training will be given
• Able to undertake point of care testing is an advantage
