Embroidery Operator

We are a Tempe-based Safety & Promotional Marketing Company located just west of Downtown Tempe and ASU! We are an exciting, fast-paced company and we are expanding fast!

Sportex Apparel is looking for an Embroidery Operator. With full-time availability in the afternoon schedule 11AM to 7:30PM. We are a well-established one-stop shop meeting the needs of our customers in multiple avenues.

We are a growing embroidery, screen printing, and textile manufacturing company looking for experienced embroidery operators. We embroider flat apparel, misc. textiles, & hats. You must be able to show a good working knowledge of machine operation, including: loading new designs, changing thread, fixing tensions, as well as hooping and trimming. Attention to detail and quality embroidery is a must!

Salary and performance review will occur at 30 and 90 days after start of employment.

• Maintain high level of embroidery quality
• Be able to operate up to a 15 head embroidery machine without assistance
• Be able to operate multiple single heads at the same time
• Perform basic maintenance to keep machines running in optimal condition
• Operate embroidery machines set up for hat hoops as well as flat hoops
• Study paperwork to fully understand what the finished product needs to look like
• Decorate numerous types of products from headwear, apparel, bags, etc

Embroidery Qualifications / Skills:

• Great communication skills
• Ability to learn processes and systems quickly
• Ability to lift 20 lbs
• Ability to stand and walk throughout entire shift
• Ability to efficiently execute on management directive
• Occasional Saturday schedule availability
• Positive attitude
• Knowledge on machine tensioning

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least one year in related experience preferred

• LIFT 30LBS BOXES WHEN NECESSARY

Starting salary range: DOE (Depends on Experience)
