We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Dishwasher / Dietary Utility Worker to help maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen and dining environment. This position plays an important role in supporting our Dietary team and providing a positive dining experience for our residents.
Responsibilities:
- Operate the dishwasher and wash pots, pans, dishes, utensils, and other kitchen equipment.
- Inspect all items after washing to ensure they are clean before putting them away.
- Keep the kitchen and dining areas clean and orderly before, during, and after meal service.
- Check and document dishwasher temperatures and sanitizer levels as required.
- Monitor soaps and sanitizers to ensure infection-control guidelines are followed.
- Clean kitchen equipment and service ware daily, ensuring nothing is left dirty overnight.
- Sweep and clean kitchen and dining room floors after each meal.
- Empty garbage and clean the dishwasher after each meal.
- Follow all OSHA requirements, safety procedures, universal precautions, and infection-control guidelines.
- Interact with residents, families, visitors, and coworkers in a patient, respectful, and professional manner.
- Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance.
- Assist other departments when needed.
- Complete additional duties assigned by the Director of Dietary or their designee.
Qualifications:
- Dependable, organized, and able to maintain a clean work environment.
- Positive attitude and commitment to teamwork.
- Ability to communicate respectfully with residents, families, visitors, and coworkers.
- Ability to safely lift, bend, stand, and use kitchen equipment throughout the shift.
- Previous kitchen, food service, or dishwashing experience is preferred but not required.
