The Oaks at Denville is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team!
The Oaks at Denville is a Springpoint Senior Living Community located in Denville, NJ. We are currently in search of a full-time Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. At Springpoint, our Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for providing general maintenance for the facility and its residents.
Responsibilities:
- Basic carpentry knowledge with the understanding of hanging pictures, bulletin boards, hot files, etc.
- Assist in cleaning various equipment throughout the facility, clean out apartments when vacated or after demolition, change light bulbs, change filters, etc.
- Able to make use of an electronic work order system.
- Assist in providing material for renovation and remodeling; report stock that is needed for job performance.
- Maintain accurate records of time and scope utilizing work order request forms.
- Interact well with and assist various vendors and contractors called in to repair or provide services to facility.
- Provide appropriate assistance to residents, co-workers, and visitors. Represent the facility in a professional manner.
- Must be able to report to work at off-hours in cases of emergency.
- Perform all duties in a timely, effective, and cost-efficient manner.
- Complete and return work order tickets at end of day.
- Complete communication forms at apartment detailing work complete if resident was not at home.
- Maintain professional relationships and interact with co-workers, superiors, residents, and visitors.
- Follow published fire and safety procedures. Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as necessary.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 3+ Years experience in general maintenance and/or a particular trade is required

Pay Range: $22.50 - $25.50 / hour
