JOB PURPOSE To assist the library patrons, seminary faculty and staff, and the library services team by providing routine clerical work to ensure a quality library experience for all.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assist patrons in the use of the library's resources by charging/discharging items in the regular stacks, reserve books, computers, videos, and Interlibrary Loans.
- Retrieve materials from the Library Annex and Remote Storage Collection as needed for research.
- Assist disabled persons in the use and retrieval of library resources.
- Process new materials for circulation such as books, videos, CDs, etc.
- Assist in the annual binding of periodicals.
- Send copies of table of content pages of selected journals to professors, as requested Assist in the display, shelving, and filing of periodicals.
- Help with the maintenance and storage of association minutes from the states for which our seminary is responsible.
- Shelve books and materials as necessary to maintain an orderly library, including books, videos, tapes, etc.
- Cooperate as a team member with the library staff in performing any duty essential to the achievement of efficient library operations, such as communication, troubleshooting, and decision making.
- Take part in staff meetings as arranged by the Dean of Library Services.
- Open and lock up library in the absence of other library personnel.
- Open and distribute library mail in the absence of library secretary.
- Additional tasks as assigned by library personnel

No more than twenty-nine (29) hours per week Varying schedule including some evenings and weekends Quiet shared space environment
