Make brands worth following.
Social moves fast. Brands do not win by chasing every trend or publishing more of the same. They win by understanding where they belong, how they should behave and why people should care.
As a Senior Social & Content Strategist at SQLI, you define how brands show up across social platforms, culture and communities. You connect audience behaviour, platform dynamics, content, creators, community and paid distribution into a social ecosystem that earns attention and delivers results.
You combine creative instinct with strategic discipline. You know what makes an idea platform-native, but you can also explain how it supports the brand and business objective. You turn that thinking into a sharp client story, a clear tactical plan and briefs that creative and media teams can act on.
You understand the scroll. But more importantly, you understand the strategy behind stopping it.
What you will do
Define the role of social within a brand’s wider digital and marketing strategy.
Develop social strategies, annual plans and campaign approaches.
Make clear platform choices across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest, Reddit and emerging channels.
Build distinctive content territories, formats and editorial systems.
Connect organic content, paid social, influencers, creators, UGC and community management.
Translate cultural, audience and platform insights into relevant creative opportunities.
Brief and challenge content, creative, influencer, community and performance specialists.
Use social and content data to improve formats, creative choices and distribution.
Decide where brands should invest, experiment, scale - or stay away.
Turn social strategy into a persuasive story and confidently present it to clients.
What you bring
5+ years of experience in social, content, creative or influencer strategy, preferably in an agency.
Deep knowledge of platform behaviour, social culture, creators and communities.
Experience developing complete social strategies - not only calendars, concepts or channel plans.
Strong understanding of both organic and paid social.
The ability to recognise strong creative work and make it strategically stronger.
Fluency in social performance metrics and the judgement to look beyond vanity metrics.
Excellent storytelling, deck-building and presentation skills.
Confidence in client conversations, workshops and pitches.
The ability to turn ambitious ideas into focused, feasible tactical plans.
Fluency in Dutch and English. French is an advantage.
A challenging role is important, but so is the environment around it.
