Client Support Specialist– Care Campus

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Client Support Specialist (CSS) is a highly visible, participant-facing member of the Care Campus team who proactively engages participants, identifies needs, connects people to services, and supports continuity between participants, Case Management, Safety, and other programs.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Maintain an active presence in participant-facing areas and build respectful, trusting relationships using trauma-informed and person-centered approaches.
• Help participants understand available services and provide warm handoffs to case management, healthcare, behavioral health, hygiene, benefits, housing, and other resources.
• Support outreach, appointment reminders, document collection, follow-up, service navigation, and off-site accompaniment when appropriate.
• Use de-escalation and problem-solving skills, communicate emerging concerns, and request Safety or clinical support when needed.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Two or more years of experience in homeless services, outreach, service navigation, case-management support, healthcare navigation, peer support, or another direct-service setting preferred.
• Experience working directly with individuals experiencing homelessness and complex service needs strongly preferred.
• Strong relationship-building, communication, advocacy, service-navigation, conflict-resolution, and problem-solving skills.

Work Environment

Regular use of a computer and HR technology platforms is required, along with the ability to manage detailed records and sustained periods of screen-based work. The role follows a hybrid work arrangement with regular onsite presence and occasional travel among Los Angeles-area locations.
