Supports the Nurse Manager in the coordination of patient care. Utilizes the nursing process to effectively assess the needs of patients & addresses system issues to facilitate the provision of quality care. Delegates appropriately to other team members. Utilizes communication skills, leadership ability, time management and problem solving skills to facilitate the daily operation of the unit. Makes customer needs a priority . Plans, implements and evaluates nursing care collaboratively in accordance with the scope of nursing practice. Supports the goals and philosophy of the Department of Nursing within the St. Joseph’s Health. Serves as the main clinical resource for any issues/questions related to areas of specialty.
