    Job description

Pre-Sale Manager → Studio Manager | Burlington, Massachusetts

    Full-Time | Base + Commission | Career Growth Opportunity

Posted by Staffing Fitness LLC on behalf of our client

    🚀 The Opportunity

This isn't just a job — it's a ground-floor opportunity to launch a brand-new boutique fitness studio in Burlington, MA and grow into the leader who runs it.

Our client operates a high-energy group fitness concept with classes starting every 10 minutes. A new studio is opening in Burlington, and we need a driven, community-minded sales leader to build the membership base from scratch — signing up 440+ founding members before doors open — and then step into the Studio Manager role to lead the team and operations long-term.

If you love fitness, thrive on hustle, and want a clear career path, this is your moment.

Phase 1: Pre-Sale Manager (Immediate Start)

You'll be the face of the brand in Burlington before the studio even opens. Your mission: generate buzz, build relationships, and convert leads into founding members.

    What You'll Do:

    • Run 6+ tabling events per week at high-traffic locations throughout Burlington and surrounding areas
    • Build partnerships with 150+ local businesses (gyms, salons, coffee shops, corporate offices, etc.)
    • Follow up with every lead within 2–3 hours — speed wins
    • Engage daily on social media to build community excitement and brand awareness
    • Track all leads, outreach, and conversions in the CRM with precision
    • Create grassroots energy that makes the studio launch a local event

Phase 2: Studio Manager (Post-Launch Career Path)

Once the studio opens and you've proven your leadership in the pre-sale phase, you'll transition into the Studio Manager role — the heartbeat of the studio.

    What You'll Own:

    Membership Sales & Retention

    • Deliver on KPIs including membership sales conversion, member retention (monthly churn), month-over-month recurring growth, and gross revenue targets
    • Execute ongoing lead follow-up, trial conversions, and outreach strategies

    Studio Operations

    • Uphold all brand standards, company policies, and procedures
    • Build and manage weekly staffing schedules while monitoring payroll
    • Ensure the facility is clean, well-maintained, and compliant with health and safety regulations
    • Oversee equipment maintenance and full operational readiness

    Staff Development & Leadership

    • Coach staff on sales techniques, customer service, and performance accountability
    • Conduct bi-annual performance reviews and monitor team engagement
    • Recruit, hire, and onboard new team members
    • Lead by example — able to perform all Assistant Studio Manager and Coach duties

    Marketing & Community

    • Facilitate studio-specific marketing promotions and manage local CRM campaigns
    • Lead community events that drive appreciation and new leads
    • Maintain a high-energy, motivating culture for members and staff

    Floor Leadership

    • Guide members through workouts safely and effectively when needed
    • Be the embodiment of the studio's energy and mission every single day

    What We're Looking For

    • Sales DNA — experience in outside sales, grassroots outreach, or membership-based fitness sales
    • Proven track record of hitting or exceeding sales targets
    • Exceptional people skills — you light up a room and build trust fast
    • Leadership experience — management experience in health & fitness is preferred
    • Hustle and reliability — strong work ethic, time management, and integrity
    • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems
    • Reliable transportation (required for pre-sale tabling and outreach)
    • Passion for fitness and community — this isn't optional, it's the foundation
    • CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 3 months)
    • Fitness certification from a nationally accredited organization (or willingness to obtain within 3 months), OR a B.A. in Exercise Science or related field
    • Personal training, group fitness, or small group fitness certifications accepted

    Schedule & Compensation

    • Full-time | Monday–Saturday during pre-sale phase (8–9 hours/day)
    • Base salary + commission — your hustle directly impacts your earnings
    • Post-launch: minimum 40 hours/week (35+ hours in-studio during operating hours)
    • Must have availability for early mornings, evenings, and weekends
    • Additional hours for community events, grassroots activity, and admin as needed
