Responsibilities:
The Desktop Operations Associate is part of the Desktop team responsible for monitoring, support and maintenance of the Hospital’s infrastructure in addition providing Windows, printer and hardware support. The Desktop Operations team is responsible for providing level 1 after-hours and weekend support
• Respond to systems alerts for potential hardware and software problems, triage issues and when necessary Escalating to appropriate L2/L3 support personal.
• Provides accurate and thorough turnover to other shifts including verbal and written details/reports
• Monitor and maintain the health of infrastructure components (servers, storage, data circuits, computing environment) supporting a the Hospital’s environment
• Perform Windows server / Desktop administration tasks if necessary to resolve problems or maintain availability
• Assist with monthly OS and application patching and upgrades
• Monitoring and triaging backup failures and virus warnings
• Provide on-site support for Help Desk issues as they relate to hardware (workstation/servers), OS, peripherals and telephone
• Prepare, test, and install Desktop upgrades as part of desktop refresh initiative.
• Provide technical assistance to projects as assigned
• Must be able to work independently on assignments
• Demonstrates professional work behavior by following Service Standards and Success factors. Complies with departmental organizational policies and procedures and adheres to external agency requirements.
• Supporting Customer Service project activities aimed at improving our procedures and processes as well as anticipating our user’s needs
• Achieving standards in quality and productivity of software request management, including responsiveness, fulfillment time, & satisfaction
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED, Associates Preferred
• 2+ years of enterprise infrastructure technology experience(switches, routers)
• 3+ years working on a desktop support team providing Level 1 & 2 desktop support
• Troubleshooting expertise in Windows desktop and HP/Cisco server hardware and operations
