We embrace and welcome that knowledge at all levels.</p><p dir="ltr"><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Follow agile development methodology and participate in agile ceremonies along with other team members</li><li>Participate in the ongoing development and support of Starboard’s supply chain products</li><li>Mentor and lead other junior developers</li><li>Work closely with other developers to ensure development meets requirements and delivers a great user experience</li><li>Ensure solutions that are developed are tested and meet quality and architecture standards</li><li>Work closely with the CTO to help drive and enhance the software architecture and user experience</li></ul><p dir="ltr"><br></p><p dir="ltr"><strong>Technical Skills Needed:</strong></p><p dir="ltr"><br></p><ul><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">6+ years experience in professional application and systems development</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Continuous, self learner of new and advancing technologies</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Demonstrated experience in:</p><ul><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">delivering high quality, well designed and well implemented systems</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">delivering robust, high-availability, performant systems</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">software architecture design</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">user interface and user experience design and development</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">the extensive use of several modern programming languages</p></li></ul></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Expert knowledge of both functional and object-oriented design patterns, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis</p></li></ul><p><br></p><p dir="ltr"><strong>Other

Requirements:

</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Experience working as a member of a small, agile development team</li><li>Experience performing as a technical/developer lead who has also mentored junior engineers</li><li>Has strong written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Exceptional analytical aptitude and attention to detail</li><li>Critical thinker with the ability to break down complex technical requirements</li><li>Good organizational and problem-solving skills</li><li>Ability to be self-directed, self-motivated, and a continuous learner</li><li>Ability to be innovative, have outside-the-box creativity and present alternative ideas</li><li>Established portfolio of work and/or code samples</li><li>Experience with AWS Service suite</li></ul><p><br></p><p dir="ltr"><strong>Desired but not Required:</strong></p><p><br></p><ul type="disc"><li>Experience with user interface and user experience design and development</li><li>Experience with Play Framework using Scala</li><li>Experience with Vue.js</li><li>Experience with databases including relational, graph databases and key stores</li><li>Experience with Unix based operating systems</li><li>Knowledge of Supply Chain services, strategy, and processes is beneficial</li><li>B.S. in Computer Science is nice but not required.
