What You Will Do

Build high-performance consumer-facing search and discovery interfaces that serve as the primary surface for user interaction with the platform

Build real-time social and communication interfaces that handle live state, persistent connections, presence, and concurrent user interactions under variable network conditions

Build end-to-end transactional flows that guide users through complex multi-step sequences with clear state management, robust error handling, and seamless recovery

Treat frontend performance as a first-class engineering discipline, owning bundle architecture, rendering strategy, lazy loading, and Core Web Vitals as measurable engineering metrics

Build and own the full stack beneath the UI, including backend services, data access patterns, and API contracts between frontend and platform layers

Work directly from design specifications to deliver polished user experiences, systematically closing the gap between design intent and final shipped product while identifying and resolving edge cases

Minimum Qualifications

MSc in Computer Science or Software Engineering or equivalent demonstrated production experience building consumer products at scale

Expert-level React and Next.js; architectural understanding of the framework including rendering strategies, state management trade-offs, and framework internals

Production proficiency in Go or Rust on the backend; writes systems code, not only UI code

Demonstrated track record shipping consumer products used by real people at meaningful scale

Demonstrated performance engineering on real consumer systems; you have measured, profiled, and improved load times and rendering with evidence, not estimates

Preferred Qualifications

Experience at a consumer product company recognized for shipping polished, high-scale user experiences - whether an early breakout startup or an established global platform

Demonstrated performance engineering work on real production systems with measurable outcomes

Ability to take a product from design to production at a pace that resets expectations for the team

3–7 years of relevant experience
