Teaching Assistant (Remote)

<p dir="ltr"><strong>Teaching Assistants</strong> support the general supervision and management of students. You will work under the direction of the course instructor, and be expected to assist with the implementation of instructional plans.</p><p dir="ltr">You must be attentive to the needs of students and be able to identify proper solutions when students encounter issues.

You should have strong interpersonal skills, as you'll be collaborating with other teachers, working with students, and talking to families.</p><p dir="ltr"><br></p><p dir="ltr"><strong>Responsibilities </strong></p><p dir="ltr">* Most of the tasks are done online. </p><ul><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Research for class contents and support teachers to enhance class materials such as quizzes, homework, and code review.</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Attend trial classes and provide feedback for teachers.</p></li><li><p>Provide support and guidance to students through our online learning system.</p></li><li><p>Maintain a supportive and safe classroom environment.</p></li><li><p>Answer students’ questions on our learning management system.</p></li><li><p>Support other educational activities for students.</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with other teams such as Marketing, Operations, Educations, Data Science to support the preparation and delivery of lessons to students (if necessary).</p></li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Pursue a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Engineering, or related field.  </p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Great collaboration and teamwork skills.</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">A positive, empathetic, and loving attitude.</p></li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Technical knowledge in one of these three fields:</p><ul><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Python.</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Scratch.</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Hardware and robotics education platforms such as VEX, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, LEGO Mindstorms, etc.</p></li></ul></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Experience in teaching, especially teaching children.</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Have prior volunteer experience.</p></li></ul><p dir="ltr"><br></p><p dir="ltr"><strong>Preferred time commitment:</strong> at least 5 hours/week. </p>
