Overview
The Plant Floater is responsible for a wide variety of job duties within the Jeffersonville Plant including shipping/receiving, housekeeping, packaging, etc.
Responsibilities
- Provide and maintain a safe work environment for all employees and drivers.
- Safely and efficiently operate overhead cranes
- Safely and efficiently operate fork trucks
- Loading/unloading coils
- Unloading zinc and safely placing zinc into storage
- Support the galv line packager when running frequent splits and helping to keep supplies available
- The successful candidate will be able to quickly learn a variety of job tasks and multi-task during the day while providing assistance to other employees and at the same time completing their own job assignments.

- A strong desire and ability to work safely
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Self-directed, well organized, and motivated
- Must be driven to maintain a high level of housekeeping
- Must be detail oriented and be able to complete work accurately
- Must be willing to train on and learn other jobs in the plant
- Must represent the company well to customer and contract drivers.
